Summary:

Mahabharat is an Indian Hindi-language epic TV series in light of the old Sanskrit epic of a similar name. The first circulating comprised of a sum of 94 episodes[2] and were communicated from 2 October 1988 to 24 June 1990 on Doordarshan.[3][4][5] It was delivered by B. R. Chopra and coordinated by his child, Ravi Chopra.[6] The music was created by Raj Kamal. The content was composed by Pandit Narendra Sharma and the Hindi/Urdu artist Rahi Masoom Raza, in light of the epic by MaharishiVyasa. Outfits for the series were given by Maganlal Dresswala.[7] The sequential cases to have involved the Critical Edition of Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute as its essential source with Vishnu Sitaram Sukthankar and Shripad Krishna Belwalkar as its essential supervisor.

Every episode is 40-46 minutes in length and starts with a title tune that comprised of expressive substance and two sections from the Bhagavad Gita.[8] The title melody was sung and the stanzas delivered by vocalist Mahendra Kapoor. Premise

The series covers the episodes of epic Mahabharata spinning around Krishna, Pandavas, Kauravas among different characters.


The show starts with Emperor Bharata giving more significance to 'Limit' than to 'Birth'. He shows the introduction of Bhishma and his pledge, birth of Pandu, Dhritarashtra and Vidur and birth of Pandavas and Kauravas. The story then, at that point, centers around the youth of Lord Krishna.


Somewhere else, Dronacharya shows Pandavas and Kauravas and requests to overcome Drupad as Guru Dakshina. Pandavas do so and give half of his realm to Drona. Before Mahabharata War, Shri Krishna illuminates Arjuna about the "Bhagavad Gita" and showed his Virata Swaroopa to Arjuna. The last option shows the passings of Bheeshma, Drona, Karna, Abhimanyu, Shalya, Shakuni, Jayadrata, Ghatotkacha, 100 Kauravas, 5 children of Draupadi and numerous different fighters in the conflict prompting the triumph of Pandavas over Kauravas. Gandhari considers Krishna answerable for her child's passing and reviles that his family will likewise get annihilated. The show closes with Yudhishthir's Rajyabhishek and Bhishma's demise.
